For the 43rd edition of the Efebo d’Oro Prize, scheduled to take place from 14th to 20th November in Palermo, the Efebo d’Oro – Banca Popolare Sant’Angelo Prize for Life Achievements will be awarded to Costa-Gavras. The Greek-born, naturalised French director is internationally renowned and his filmography is synonymous with civil engagement and intellectual honesty.

During its seven-day programme, the Efebo d’Oro festival will show seven films based on literary works competing for the Efebo d’Oro prize, seven debut and second films competing for the Efebo Perspectives, in addition to the Efebo d’Oro – City of Palermo for New Languages –and numerous other initiatives.
