Und dass man ohne Täuschung zu leben vermag (Of Living Without Illusion)

MOVIE CATEGORY
Chronicle of a scorching summer spent on the outskirts of a city that seems to turn into a furnace. Merit, Eva, Lion, Rose and David cautiously wind around their conflicted relationships. They talk, get angry, reconcile without managing to bridge the distances. Their words and hearts struggle to meet. They play theatre while facing the dress rehearsal of their lives. The present is tormented by the relentless pressure of the fear of the future and the traces of violence that, from the past, continue to disrupt the daily lives of these “melancholic lookout” who learn to explore the shadow that separates love from hatred – affection from contempt – and who experience the sad joy of having been betrayed by love without ceasing to love.
A dance on the edge of the abyss of emotions, a poetic and poignant tale of the beauty and gravity that arise from the discovery of individual truths.
