Nat is an interpreter, and every day finds herself translating the tragic and terrible stories of immigrant women. Stressed out and in a state of emotional vulnerability, she drops everything and goes to live in La Escapa, a small town in rural Spain. The house is in poor condition and literally leaks from all sides. The landlord is aggressive, the neighborhood is suspicious, and the men, in general, are suitors and predators. Like Andreas, the big and burly neighbor who offers to repair her roof. In exchange for something. Nat, accompanied by a semi-stray dog, withstands the hostile environment and becomes involved in the game of an obsessive passion. Taken from the eponymous novel by Sara Mesa, published in Italy by La Nuova Frontiera in 2021.
