MOVIE CATEGORY
Biopic on the writer Thomas Brasch, one of the most controversial intellectuals and artists of the 20th century Germany. The film follows him from his youth in East Germany, through his struggles against the oppression of the socialist regime, to his voluntary exile in the West. Through his journey, we discover the tensions between the desire for artistic freedom and the rigid political and familial expectations, exploring the price of dissidence and creativity in an authoritarian context. Supported by a screenplay full of penetrating dialogues and moments of strong emotional impact, the film leads us to reflect on the struggle for personal and artistic freedom in a world of restrictions and censorship.
