Four women from Palermo tell their stories through their bodies: gestures, words and silences, things that are often silenced or reduced to stereotypes. Four seemingly distant stories—a single mother, a young grandmother, a breastfeeding mother, a dancer and teacher—intertwine in a collective and free narrative, within a neighborhood on the outskirts of the city. The body that grows, nourishes, works and creates becomes a universal language, a living archive of experiences and resistances. Each testimony mirrors the other, generating a female chorus that celebrates the body’s autonomy and its generative power, beyond roles and social expectations. The film is produced by Per Esempio, an organization that works to build inclusive and equitable communities in Palermo with an eye on the Mediterranean and the world.
