After five years studying in Paris, Arash has not adjusted to life there and has decided to return to Iran to live. Jolted by the news, his two friends Hossein and Nima, who do not want him to leave, convince him to take a last trip through France – secretly hoping he will change his mind.

Avant la fin de l’été (Before summer ends), il primo lungometraggio di Maryam Goormaghtigh, del 2017, ha avuto la sua prima a Cannes, come apertura dell’ACID programme, ed ha poi viaggiato
in over 30 festivals internationally. It won the Emerging Swiss Talent Award at ZFF, the Fiction/Non- Fiction Prize at Docs Against Gravity and was given a special mention at the BFI London Film Festival. It was nominated at the Trophées Francophones du Cinéma 2018 and for the Swiss Film Award 2018 as well as for the International Press Prize in the Best French Language Film category.
