MASTERCLASS

The 41st edition of the Efebo d’Oro, in collaboration with the Experimental Center of Cinematography – Sicily, will host a masterclass by director Mike Hoolboom, Efebo d’Oro New Languages – City of Palermo 2019, who will talk about his cinema and of the paths and techniques that underpin his work.

Always fascinated by the dismantling of any mechanical attribution of meaning, his work investigates how physicality determines perception and, also, how mass culture, saturated with images, causes many problems at the perceptual level.

Friday 18 October / 9: 30 – 14:00 / Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa
Subscribers will have the opportunity to interact with Mike Hoolboom and to use the English / Italian simultaneous translation service. At the end of the masterclass, a certificate of participation signed by the director will be issued.
